You can send or retrieve files 24 hours a day via the Internet using our "FTP" site. It's FAST, EASY, and FREE. Please contact DCI at 412.325.2555 after uploading a file.

FTP Directions using an FTP Client:
Compress all files using .sit or .zip files. Do not use self extracting archive files (.sea). They tend to corrupt. On your computer, locate the file(s) you want to send to us. Put them into a folder. Name the folder appropriately. (Be sure to include all FONTS and IMAGES). Compress the folder using STUFFIT or ZIPIT.

We prefer that files larger than 100megs be sent to us on disc. We recommend the use of an "FTP Client" (an "FTP Client" is an application that will allow you to upload or download files to or from your drive as simply as moving them from one folder to another) such as "TRANSMIT" or "FETCH" for MAC or "CUTEFTP" for PC.

If you do not have a ftp client you may click on the highlighted name to download the appropriate client for your platform. (These programs usually can be freely evaluated for a short trial period before having to purchase them) If you do own an ftp client you connect to our server by using the following path:

Server: dci-pittsburgh.com
Path: /dropbox
Username: dciftp
Password: UserFTP

We will gladly download files from your FTP server as well. Just give us the login info and we'll get right to it.

File Transfer Options other than FTP:
If purchasing an FTP client is simply not an option for you, there are also many file transfer sites that will allow you to exchange files for free. Although many of these come with caveats or limitations, and there are too many to list here, we have evaluated and recommend one service, http://www.yousendit.com/ that appears to be fairly fast and easy to use. (Give the file at least 2 days to expire and use "file-up@dci-pittsburgh.com" for email notification.)
